Recruits Wanted

I heard an ad on the radio today geared towards the recruitment of new members to the RCMP. I thought that posting this photo of a vintage recruitment poster from August 27th, 1914 might be kind of neat. They were originally called the Royal North West Mounted Police before they became the RCMP.

Great to see this. Are you located where the museum is that is showing the slave trade underground and the other one of the mobsters? I'm so sorry but I forget completely the names of them but I so enjoyed my visits to them back in 2002 when on my way to Calgary.

You are thinking of the Tunnels of Moose Jaw. There is the Passage to Fortune which is the underground Chinese labourers story and there is The Chicago Connection which is the bootlegging story with alleged conections to Al Capone. Moose Jaw is just less than a hour's drive from Regina. Great tours; lots of history.
