You see this kind of thing everywhere. Why do they do it?
I am not a 100% sure, but I have heard that it is a sign used by gangs to mark their territory.
I never thought of that - thought it might have been schoolkids messing about or drunks.
I've been told that it marks where a drug dealer lives, or where a gang member died.
